The January edition of the OpenOffice.org newsletter is out on the net!

Highlights from January include:

• OpenOffice.org for the new Intel processor-based Macs beats Microsoft Office to the punch.
• Bristol City Council in the UK will be migrating 5,500 computers to StarOffice.
• How a tea seller uses OpenOffice and other FOSS apps to provide his company with affordable business computing.
• O’Reilly’s XML.com covers using OOo Basic to batch process document conversions in OpenOffice.org.

There is a lot more in the newsletter that I’m going to skip in this summary. As a closing note, I’ll mention that the OpenOffice.org website has clocked 56,400,000 downloads of OOo as of mid-January. Pretty amazing!
